Earthquake system gives the alarm in Pakistan, Kashmir a few seconds before the destructive S-wave reached the people! On Friday, 20th of February 2009 a massive earthquake shocks the region. All the systems have given an alarm before the destructive S-wave reached the people. Hence, it was proven first that a low cost system detects the P-wave and gives an alarm. All people in countries being at risk by earthquakes now have the chance to survive such a disaster.

Four hospitals have been chosen as locations for the systems. At least two earthquake detectors working in a network have been installed in each hospital to assure a maximum size of reliability. Now, in different villages people are given warning of the approching disaster by a outdoor-siren within a radius of 500-800 meter.

Now the people are not confronted any more absolutely unexpectedly and unpreparedly with this natural disaster; they can initiate actively preventive measures and improve with it their survival chance clearly.
