First earthquake warning system in Germany

By: Jürgen Przybylak
QVC- new warehouse in Hückelhoven

The well-know American concern QVC - with its own TV Channel in Germany- has equipped his new warehouse established in Hückelhoven near Aachen with the advanced earthquake early warning system "secty lifePatron" and has integrated the system into its modern building control.

The exasperating experiences of the American people with massive earthquakes in the past (for example California) and the knowledge to have built the new warehouse in the "Niederrheinische Tiefebene" in a geologically very active earthquake zone was reason enough to instal the innovative advanced earthquake early warning system "secty lifePatron".

Beside the acoustic advance warning of the employees by means of sirens the gas supply is interrupted in the earthquake case also immediately.

With it these new and worldwide leading earthquake-security- technology has come into operation in Germany for the first time and this should be impulse also for other companies resident in the geologically very active areas of Germany to think about the exertion of this technology.
